I’m a 225lb male who just cant seem to get any of the fat off my body. I started this diet and exercse routine in May. Every morning I go to the gym and do 4 sets of 15 on the chest, back, triceps, and abs. Then I go 2 hrs on the elliptical machine so I burn at least 2000 calories.
Not to mention my summer job I work 4-5 days a week has me walking around upward to eight hours.
As for diet I eat small healthy meals througout the day(fruit, turkey sandwhich on wheat, cereal bar), and drink plenty of water.
It feels like I’m doing all this for nothing b/c I haven’t seen ANY results. I know muscle weighs more than fat, but I have yet to see and changes to my body and its driving me crazy. I thought it was easier for males to loose weight.
I’m started to become tempted by diet pills, and ab belts that I know won’t work but i’m desperate. Not to mention I’m becoming paranoid that I just cant loose weight. The fat is here to stay….

Have you switched it up any? If you keep up with the same routine and same diet then your body will stop reacting to it. You’ve got to jolt your system. Carb up on certain days – do different excercise. You got to switch it all around so it does not become accustomed to it.
from what you have posted one of the problems is probably the structure of your training program and your diet and caloric intake. you shouldn’t be training the same muscles daily and you don’t need to do 2 hours of cardio daily on top of that.
at 225 lbs your BMR is close to 2,500 cals daily. if you are burning 2,000 cals + through weight training and cardio and working full time on top of that you should be consuming close to 4,000-5,000 cals daily just to facilitate fat loss.
you need to eat 5 portioned meals a day
if your metabolism is regulated then you are constantly burning fat.
you might want to go the doctor. if you have a thyroid problem its harder to lose weight
an they can probably recommend a better workout.
but dont stop eventually you will see results!
best of luck!
Try eating salad every day in your lunch… If you feel its dry and not tasty try adding different flavor of salad dressings and use lots of croutons so that it will fill your stomach. you can add lettuce , broccoli(raw broccoli burns more calories than that it gives to your body), cucumber, carrot, beetroot you can try regular ranch or Italian flavor dressing with it,
If you like sweet and sour(fruity) taste, you can add straw berry, raspberry(any kind of berries) , grapes and apples in your salad use sweet – fat free dressing( Raspberry pecan is my favorite one)…
Dont eat cheeze and butter and other oily stuff in your regular meal… Add more soups in your meal(with Fat free cheeze and very less butter) Do lots of cardio… , Weight lifting or doing resistance exercises won’t help at this stage, they only help if you want to build muscles.. good luck
